I am going over my mentalism books and putting together a list of my favourite ideas.

Recently I remembered a wonderful Leo Boudreau routine. It is my favourite idea by him.

The effect is that you have a tray full of objects - and you sit with your back to the spectator.

The spectator then picks out an object from the tray and holds it in her hands.

As you sit with your back to her - you try and describe the object in her hands.

It is a very clean effect since it seems as if you really can see the object in the spectator's hands. And as soon as you make one small error in your description (eg describing the object as hard when in fact is soft) - you know exactly what she is holding. It is a very efficient binary fishing expedition and feels like real mindreading.

Anyway - I mention all this because I cannot find the trick in my three Leo Boudreau books! I have gone over each one (Psimatrika, Skullduggery and Spirited Pasteboards)two times and have yet to find it.

As such - could somebody please put me out my misery and provide me with a reference for this trick?

Thanks!

I got a correct response via PM.

Thanks for that.

'Lie To Me' is a new one to me. Looks interesting. I will check it out.

Thanks once again!

For those interested, the title is "Progressive Spirit," and you can find it in Skullduggery on page 59.

If you own the ebook from lybrary, try page 65.

It's a cool effect. I used to perform it a lot.
I shall see you on the other side.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
On page 7 of the first thread I posted an idea with photos of a murder weapon.
I forgot about it but now will dig up these photos once again!
