Hello there everyone. Recently more and more people are asking me to "show them something", but while I'm certainly not just starting with a deck of cards, I've never really performed much magic. And I just can't do the "i'll snap my fingers and magic happens" because if presented badly I believe it insults people's intelligence (don't get me wrong - well done magic is something wonderful). So I wanted to ask for names of a few plots that I can adapt to a gambler/card expert style, because that's the natural way of presenting things when asked for me. I have simply started to run out of gambling stuff to show (most of these peoples are just a crowd of "friends of friends" that have heard about a guy with a deck of cards and wanna see it - and they tend to ask me for more the next day ), so if you have any plots you know of (or maybe have an idea) I'd be grateful. Just please give me an overlay of the plot, I don't want to buy new stuff, since you pay for the method and I prefer to come up with my own. Thank you a lot in advance

Just plots? Off the top of my head:
Controlling any card/s through a shuffle/cut procedure Dealing a winning hand - poker, blackjack, brag Dealing any hand called for Winning a cut - repeatedly cutting to an ace, or whatever Spectator cuts to an ace Dealing a famous hand - like Bill's deadman's hand Demonstrations of false deals and mucks Turning a losing hand into a winning hand Predicting a poker hand, or card cut to, or blackjack hand in advance You can also think roulette, dice, sports bets and lottery for gambling themes - amongst others! |

The World's Greatest Magic series of DVD's has a 2 volume set of Gambling - themed routines for different skill levels. Magic Warehouse just had them on sale for less than $5 a piece and you can find them pretty cheap on ebay, as well. Some really nice stuff in there.

Not a card routine, but could be given a gambling angle in performance.
An impromptu routine I perform ... kindly shared by Scam School https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBBKzUR4oMA |

A good run up routine might fit the bill. Here's one of mine.
