There's nothing like seeing a great show in person, for sure. When I was a kid I saw Harry Blackstone, Jr. live three times. Once at the Studebaker Theater in Chicago. Once at the Blue Max night club in Oakbrook, IL, and once at the Circle Star Theater in Merrilville, IN. They were all excellent, but the performance at the Studebaker Theater was the most memorable.

Looking forward to seeing David Blaine live. I'm sure it will be amazing.

That review wasn't flattering MickNZ

Some phrases that stuck-out "had 10 years to perfect a show" and "was no magic, if not for Asi Wind", just horror, discombobulated, poor director, awkward, odd etc. I think the only positive was, a backhanded "honest".

Gawd. I hope Magic isn't going in this direction. "Mommy, I want to see the Gentleman Carnie". Yes, he looks like he's just been released from a 10 year sentence, but he's dressed like a metro male. Safe right? What a delight? NO.
It's not their senses that mislead, it's their assumptions.

You sure about that quote? As you said, it wasn't a highly flattering review in many regards, but I would be disappointed if it weren't the reviewers honest appraisal. Another reviewer could have seen several more positive aspects. It's just one guy's opinion, after all. I could be way off, but I sure don't recall seeing the quote you cited.
