Got an email about this: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/8389
It doesn't say how many effects he teaches, but all the tricks in the demo look really good. By the way, is the first trick the same as Touch by Hanson Chien? |

Man, that looks really good. I've been looking to add to my (extremely) limited repertoire of rubber band effects, and this looks like it would fit the bill perfectly.

Joe is the man!
The first effect is a variation of touch by Hanson Chien (which was inspired by a principle Joe used in his ultimate jump effect) and now with this new utility move other jumps and visual rubberband pieces are possible

I haven't ordered this yet. I assume it uses the camouflage principle like some of Joe's other recent work

Any ideas about the level of difficulty with these tricks?

I'm not a fan of the camouflage principle: it doesn't fit my performance style (which is more impromptu, hey, you've got a few rubber bands, look here...).
That's why I'm hesitating on this download. |

The first trick is a brilliant version on touch by Hanson chein.
Rest of the effects also fits to cover a good dvd. It has some new moves seen, which is magically creative. I think rubber impromptu guys shoud go with this dvd. There will be lot of visual stuff here. Best.. Magic |

Hey Robert, it's definitely BYOB
If having rubber bands on you is a problem, this isn't for you. But if you're willing to grab some bands before you leave the house, these are stunning miracles. |

I get it, not everyone loves the look of walking around with a few rubber bands around your wrist. But unless your performance environment happens to have #19 bands with decent stretch laying around, you're BYOB'ing anyway.

Hey Robert, you don't need to take lots of Bands with you to do these effects. 2 Bands for crazy men's handcuffs and you are good to go. I have done touch or Joes ultimate jump multiple times with only a single band, just bend/Turn your wrist. Here is a short example https://www.instagram.com/p/BGMRRvzQXgh/

I have routine involving crazy mans handcuffs, single band link and torn restored band. I would love to add a section from this. I have a show Saturday. Chances of getting this down for then? Too ambitious?

I have said it before and will until the day I die - ANYTHING Joe puts out regarding rubber bands is worth learning. I have a different style of close up than many. Cards and rubber bands probably make up over half of my effects I use on a regular basis. I never worried about several bands on my wrist even in formal settings since I only really ever used the flesh colored bands but now, even if very formal, I can choose to use his black and white bands. If informal, options are almost unlimited thanks to Joe.

Was some of this material taught in Joe's Penguin Live Lecture?

I bought this and all I can say is Wow. This is really good. The utility move taught provides the groundwork for the rest of the material on the tutorial. It's well worth the price, way undervalued in my opinion for what is provided. We are so lucky to have people out there continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible to come up with something as brilliant as this. If you are used to rubber band magic, the utility move is not difficult to learn. I love this and cannot wait to use it as part of my rubber band routine. Thanks Joe.
