I have nine cards. All of them are king of spades, but four of them also have an 8 of hearts on the other side.

I have a bunch of these packet tricks without instructions, but this one really catches my curiosity. .

Isn't Wild Card where you change a hand of different cards all to the same card?

It's wild card, at least it's the same wild card packet that I have.

Wild card as Tommy Wonder does it (if you haven't seen it, find it on YouTube).
8 of the same card turns into 8 of another card.

This is 9 of one card and 4 of another.

Hmmm, some kind of Monte?

But you're right, it's not the typical wild card.

yes. Wild Card

Wild Card is a packet trick card routine. Eight cards of the same value are placed on the table, some face up and some face down. The magician then introduces the "wild card", which is different than the other eight. As the magician flips each card with the wild card, they change to the same value as the wild card.

Yup, I just pulled out my packet labeled Wild Card, and it has nine all of the same suit, with 4 of them are double-backers.

DOH! (You're right)

I just invented a new trick. (Maybe I can pitch it to SansMinds).

Would anyone be willing to help me out with the explanation that goes with these cards?
While I'msure I could come up with something from what's already been said, it'd be really nice to know the proper routine, as it was sold.

If anyone feels like helping, my email is raceblakhart@gmail.com, and I'm always checking my inbox here as well.

Thank you all so much for pinning this one down for me!

Xtacsgt/ used an email instead of mysto the magician. I believe what you really have is Frank Garcia's wild card trick previously presented by Lou Tannen. I'm 72 and have had it for ages, so if it has been around for awhile its wild card as mine also contains 9 cards 5 8 of spades with regular backs and 4 8 of spades one side and king of hearts on the other.

Spectators are shown nine face up cards, one at a time-eight similar cards and one "wild card" one by one all the similar cards magically change to "wild cards"

So, I feel a little slow now. haha I realized that even with 9 of one card and 4 of the other, I can "show" 9 of each, depending on the stage of the routine.

I understand now. haha
I've never been a card guy, so this area is still freshman status for me.

Thanks to everyone who posted!!! I really do appreciate it.

@Sponge,

Tamed Card by Tommy Wonder cracks me up everytime I watch it, and the audience reactions are pure gold.

And I thought you spent your time noodling around in magic shops, staying on the vanguard of the latest in magic products instead of...well...learning magic. I suspect you learned Wild Card from the kid demoing behind the counter.

Let me lay this out:
guy wants to buy something. you don't have one to sell, but chime in "to be helpful?" to tell the guy he doesn't know what he's talking about? Funny thing is, you don't know what you're talking about. LOL super rude. Then you get all butt hurt because I tell you that you're wrong and don't know what you're talking about. LOL Way to man up when you're wrong. And THEN, you hunt down one of my old posts and post some nonsense!
Smile good lord, man. Admit you were wrong and move on.
