Toi box all the way. It's a full working routine with multiple reveals and a nice final load.

Johnathan Kamm seems to have several Toibox promotional videos, but none show a full performance. Does anyone know if one exists?

I have seen the Sankey effect performed but do not own it or do anything like it myself. I do own ToiBox as well as several other "card to box" effects like the Kennedy box and other similar gaffs. I think the fact that ToiBox is not gaffed, is "organic" (as in something you would carry with ZERO question as to "Why does he have that funny box"? And is very modular allowing very different routines and endings to fit a variety of styles from classical dinner table performance to this "new fangled street magic"
I guess you can figure out my vote.

Both get stunned reactions.
I use Paper Clipped as part of Carl Andrews Déjà vu. The story makes this an amazing ending. Jonathan Kamm's basic routine with Toibox is just perfect. |

My vote goes to Toibox. If you look on his channel you can find multiple full performances in bar settings. Fun routine

To me, Paperclipped telegraphs that it will be the signed card at the end. Same thing with all of the card to glass boxes that were all the rage a few years ago. Jcroop is right....Deja Vu is AMAZING and it's a bit different because you have a different colored card in the clip. Toibox all the way.

Kozmo's "The Jar" which I recently picked up is excellent. It is obviously larger than toibox or a papercliped but what a great tool.

My thoughts are, in their most basic forms, they are two methods for card to impossible location. The Toibox standard routine is a little more fleshed out. The Paperclipped standard routine is a little more direct.
Toibox, as the ad copy describes, is a series of utility sleights designed to work with a particular "mint" box. Paperclipped is...sort of...one sleight. With Toibox, I perform the "standard" routine, minus the "mini-mint" kicker. With Paperclipped, I do a fairly direct transposition of "my" card and the spectator’s card. I’ve found that the standard Toibox routine works better for me in specific situations, whereas Paperclipped works for me in every situation. I prefer Paperclipped over Toibox. Most of the reasons why I prefer it have to do with the way I use the paper clipped card. Anyone interested can PM me. The gist is, the paper clipped card is part of my wardrobe, my introduction and my closing/signature routine; I’ve used it in this manner for 20 years (my preference might be a little biased ;-)

I have both and both are good items for your arsenal. You do get more ideas and techniques with toibox over paper clipped. Between the two I have developed a routine with toibox. I just don't see myself (at this point) utilizing paper clipped. Maybe in the future but as it stands now I prefer and practice toibox.
