To the second - birds of a feather. Gotcha...fair enough. I thought you might have been drawing some sort of inference about whether that made them more likely to be right or wrong.

Well, the truth will out and so many of the leading scientists who started out as believers now know the truth.
It is because the warmers catastrophic predictions have failed to come true in reality that people have stopped believing. The deniers, on the hand, have only seen what they predicted come true in reality and therefore have had no reason to change their minds.

The "birds of a feather" observation actually points in the opposite direction than I think was intended. To say that everyone on one side of an issue is of race X is to say that members of every other race ("birds of a feather") are on the same side of the issue ("flock together") and thus to the extent that race in injected into the issue, the observation of "groupthink" applies to members of races other than those who are in the deniers' camp.
As to the race (or "skin tone") that NYC was originally referencing, it has millions of members on both sides of the issue - "flocking together" to a far lesser extent that other skin tones. Now I suspect we'll see a curious phenomenon - the exact negation of a premise being used to support the same conclusion that the original premise was intended to support.

Why exactly was another thread on global needed?
Was it because that the believers have lost the argument and are now trying to win a bit of it.

We deniers are losing the policy battle. It is a sure thing the Right Wing will win the UK Election today – I mean they are 16/1 on with some bookies but as far as the global warming policies go both left and right parties here are believers. That is true of almost everywhere except the USA. Regardless of the fact that the people are split the powers that be are not and are mostly all bringing in global warming policies.

“The United Nations” so it begins, therefore, then, let us first look into what The United Nations is. Or shall we just skip past that bit without understanding it?

The United Nations, therefore, then, is essentially a Rockefeller & Co, construct?

Since environmental science is not in any way shape or form in the United Nations charter when it started, then how, when and where, did it become involved in environmental science?

CC, abortion, gay rights, gun control etc all split on the left - right fence, and when you look at the group on the right you tend to see a less colorful view. It's unquestionably because this is where history has led us. I'm not saying that ALL on one side look and think the SAME, but the majority of the RBirds that flock together seem to. My opinion is that this is because of things we can't talk about, and it's probably why they're more effective politically.
