Hello everyone,
I wanted to get your thoughts on this. Essentially, my question is what do you think the best party trick out there is. Something that may require a little setup, but can be done surrounded and looks physically very impressive. Of course, there are lots of small slight of hand card tricks that one can do, but in a crowded room where you can barely hear each other, these usually hold very little weight. For me, flash paper to produce something (like a bottle of beer) has always had a really strong impact as does the disappearing beer bottle. However, my favorite party trick of all time is the lean - its easy, impactful, visually stunning and absolutely kills (even though you have to prepare the ground a little first.) If you were in this party environment, what would you perform? Best wishes, O |

How about a Spirit Box effect with some smoke to add mystery before the reveal of the bright "yellow or red" ball has jumped inside the goblet. All you need is a stool and the spirit box.
Here are some links of the effect.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eBq-ofpvho https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oDPcZlNeQQ |

You'll have a blast with it. I carry it everywhere I go. I had one waitress put it in a cup and quickly put the lid on - I left, so I don't know what happened after that!

I'm having trouble with the concept here.
Best grand illusion for parties. I think of grand illusions as being stage props needing assistants, curtains, lighting and music. Party tricks are in a completely different catagory. So the illusions I've performed in the round at outdoor events are the Sword Basket, Broom Suspension the Chair Suspension and Head Choppers of various sizes.

It reminds me of the 1940s song "I took my harp to a party, but nobody asked me to play... so I took the darned thing away."
