If Earth Vanished - then would right and wrong vanish with it?

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

It depends.
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

Up and down would be tough. The moon would ... nah, that would be scary. Think happy thoughts.

Only if there was someone around to make the decision as too what is right or wrong. Like someone on the space station.

If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

If right and wrong are supernatural forces of the universe then we could use evocation to manifest either one or the other. The audience could give either the thumbs up or down and their wish would be our command, thus proving the existence of the forces in effect.

Such nonsense as right and wrong is what magic is made of.

What about arithmetic? Would 2+2 still equal 4 if we weren't here to think it?

To some extent, for you, a thing exists because you consider it. To some extent, that thing can also be referenced by others, by way of narrative. Experience and language...

Is that polar bear still eating icecream in the snow?

Beneath the spiritual realm all is division according to Annie Besant, therefore, then, 2 + 2 is really 4/2.

Addition is an abstract concept. Numbers are an abstract concept. Abstract concepts requires minds to think them. So, no... no minds, no concept of "2+2 = 4." Interesting though. Smile

PS - I could be wrong about that. But I'll go with that for now. Smile

How could you know if that were true? For example does pi change values while nobody is looking?

Is one an abstract concept?

2 B or not 2 B

Where is Jeff when we need him?

He has gone to the pub no doubt in an attempt to make the world vanish.

It seems to go relatively quiet when the questions about transactional versus absolute notions get mentioned. Almost as if one were asking how to draw a picture of red using a blue crayon.

Do the "laws" of physics vanish with no humans to observe? No orbits before Hominid grunts?

Whiter than white is illuminate lingo. Opaque white ink on white paper makes a nice fake watermark among other things.

Incidentally, all the alchemists that have down through the ages been trying to reach the illuminated man state of mind could be done by simply by watching our magic, for in the magic moment, lies that state of mind; wherein all the BS in world vanishes!
