You could also do that optical replacement where the card is flipped over outjogged. The top card of the double is pulled flush while the top card is left outjogged. But if you're having trouble flipping over a card, you'll likely find this too hard. By the way, does anyone know where that move came from?

Are you using bicycles or similar/superior quality? I've only experienced it with very bad and old decks. Have you tried other decks? You have to chage the decks from time to time depending on usage. Try doing a fan, it will give you a good sign if it's time to change.

I find that Bicycles work consistently well. Buy them at Costco 12 at a time.
