I have been practicing with my egg bag and the blown egg gets hung up. Is there any advise on what to do?
Thanks Allen |

I use silicone spray on my egg bag eggs. Spray on and let set then wipe off any excess. They become very slippery in the bag.

Don't use an egg bag. See "There's An Egg In Your Hat" from the Mini-Mysteries Book 4 at The Magic Nook.

Norm Nielsen's Egg Bag Fez is a kick! Wear it in character until you need it.

If you use a Malini style bag, here are some instructional videos: http://www.hobsoneggbag.com/

It depends on what hung up means.
can't esacpe hung up? or friction hung up? if the access spot was too small for the egg he probably wouldn't have posted because "egg too big", "opening too small" would be obvious. I suspect that the egg is not landing where he wants it too automatically and therefore "hung up".

The egg I'm using is large but it looks like its a medium size egg.I was wondering if the egg is too light but then again it could be the bag.I am using a Bazar De Magia egg bag. Its a nice bag but I haven't heard too many reviews about the bag. I have been practicing the Ken Brooke handling. Most of the time I have to shake the bag to get to the right spot to take the egg out of the bag.

There are many things you can do to avoid just plain ol' shaking it.
how can you make something similar to a "shake", or something that has the same result part of your routine? Jeff Hobson certainly has a good idea. Any of those cheap bags are unimpressive in many ways. If you stick with the routine, I'd consider upgrading your bag.

I was browsing around on the internet and I found an old clip of Pete Biro performing on the Magic Palace show. He was performing the egg bag routine from Ken Brooke. He did a great job on the show. It taught me the right way to do the Ken Brooke routine.

Im not comfortable with the Hobson bag either but only because it was too different than what I was used to. The quality is great tho.
I use my own version which it's slightly larger than a Loretta Welch bag which I also like a lot. I also created a second indicator for orientation which I prefer.

Frank. The indicator on your bag makes it easier to know that your bag is in position without fishing. I like it a lot
