It is a very difficult thing to do because one is not thinking clearly when on drugs it seems to me and we are all very proud of you James. Everybody needs a fresh start now and again and we wish you the best of luck.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

And thank you for the well wishes about my past issue. It's something I'm deeply ashamed of. I did some terrible things and I truly hate who I used to be. I won't ever go back down that path!

No need to be ashamed friend. Nobody should be judged only on the basis of their worst moment. Be proud of kicking it.

Thank you both. I suppose you are right. But I still feel shame for the things I did and the people I hurt. But I look forward to completing my masters next year and being able to help other people who are in the same situation I was in just a few years ago. Addiction clouds your mind and pervades your life like a poison. It makes you become someone you never thought you could become. Not to mention it takes lives. The opiate addiction in particular has become an epidemic at this point. I have lost many friends to it. In fact, just last week, one of my oldest friends lost her cousin whom she was incredibly close to. It destroys addicts lives and the lives of their loved ones. I am proud to say it didn't take me and that I will now be a part of the solution and not the problem. Thanks again for the kind words, you all are awesome.

Very recently, I felt 'proud' that one of our Café members, David Parr, fooled Penn and Teller. Lynn

In what way?
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

Fair enough. I retract the question, though I'm kinda proud of them myself.
