Jimmy Strange is a very creative magician from the UK.
I was fortunate enough to be in the shooting of this project and it looks in real life exactly as it looks on the trailer. Jimmy shared with me the method and this very clever and I love how under test conditions this can be performed. More info: https://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=60133 Best regards, Titanas

I used a different falling pen for a long time before Jimmy developed CAPTIVE. But I wanted a pen that could be used normally by the spectator. So.. It was even more of a pleasure working with Jimmy on the release of Captive.
For me, I like to place the pen lid under an overturned glass, and have two or three spectators place their fingers on the bottom of the glass, in a type of Ouija style seance.. I tell a tale of how these things are really NOT done by ‘spirits’ but rather the collective energy of several people channeled together… They all put a finger on the glass and then WHAM.. The lid flies off and slams against the inside of the glass. Placing the pen lid in ‘test conditions’ under a glass removes all suspicion and seems to focus attention. Sometimes spectator's report that the glass seemed to heat up before the lid went flying.. It doesn’t, but I’m not going to tell THEM that… MoM have it on the site now with FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING here: https://www.magicshop.co.uk/captive-jimmy-strange Jimmy Strange is part of the team at MoM, so if you want to chat to him about the effect just drop call, or drop in to the shop for a visit.

I'm assuming guys that as the cap is self contained it cannot be examined?
Thanks |

What is the amount of time does it take for the cap to fall once it is set up, and can that time be extended or diminished?

I'm excited by the idea of using this with Platt's Sharpie Quickie. I'm assuming it can be combined. Plus, can I use this cap with any other sharpie pen? I can see the great potential of combining a lot of effects if it's self contained to the cap. Thx.

Yes, you can combine this with Sharpie Quickie perfectly.
You can use the Sharpie lid on any regular Sharpie. Hope this helps Dominic

I used to have the same thought until I started performing telekinesis. Talking about telekinesis is intriguing to many spectators and to demonstrate it is another thing.
This looks like a very strong telekinesis based effect. I particularly like the lid falling from within the glass. I really like this and my order is going in. Best wishes, Joel. Quote: On Aug 14, 2017, cardbiker wrote:
