Thanks, Mary!
Let's see, something about myself . . . many moons ago as a kid I subscribed to a magazine called Famous Monsters of FilmLand. The publisher was a guy named Forrest J. Ackerman, who passed away recently. So there is that. Oh, I have a strong interest in Statistics and Probability mathematics. I've taken great inspiration over the years from Tommy Wonder, Eugene Burger, Harry Lorayne, David Roth, Allan Ackerman, Fred Kaps, Bill Malone and of course the obvious (Marlo, Vernon, Houdini etc.) and the like. I do mostly close-up work and recently began experimenting with mentalism a bit more broadly in my routines. I've also ventured into the creation of gaff cards, however, my creations are still very crude and rudimentary. I had the pleasure of speaking with card gaff Craftsman Jeremy Hanrahan (most known for his Hofzinser Card Gaffs) several years back, unfortunately, I wasn't into creating gaff cards of my own during that time! Drats! I do apologize for such a short reply, but I hope you'll understand that I am currently nursing a cold and I desire to stick my raw nose into the ice-box while I practice a new move I am working on that I've called: the Bounce, Boogie and Bump. I do hope you're having a lovely day and thanks again! L.

I've certainly heard of Forrest Ackerman (I met my partner at a Star Trek Convention so you can see I'm a bit of a nerd. To few math skills to be a geek).
I've had the opportunity to see 6 of your inspirational mentors video recorded live for instructional videos. They were all amazing. Hope you feel better soon. Best luck on your new move (it sounds fun anyway). -Mary Mowder |

I suppose I am somewhere between a geek and a nerd. A . . . Neek? :p I didn't realize my love of mathematics until a few years ago, in fact, I thought I wasn't very good at it. I fell into the trap as many have of thinking being "bad at maths" was like belonging to a club. You always hear someone say "I'm bad a math" followed by a laugh. It's interesting how maths is the only subject where being bad at it seems to somehow be a right of passage. You never hear anyone making light of being bad at spelling or reading because that'd be embarrassing.
Anyway, you've seen 6 of them??? Wow! OK, no fair. Hmmph! That's very kind of you, thanks. Oh, the move? Haha, I was teasing about that, but perhaps I should create something and give it that name!
