When I was growing up, I used to watch Lance Burton's TV specials all the time. I know some folks have some varying opinions of him but when I was little, I loved it and it was what inspired me to start doing magic on my own.

I need help finding a torn and restored card trick that wasn't done by him but another magician on the same special. Have no idea who it was. But he did the torn and restored trick with a signed card that he gave back to spectator I believe and also restored it piece by piece. Any ideas on which variation of the torn and restored this was? Would be even greater if someone had a link to the performance.

Thanks for your help!

Yup that's it! That effect is so much better than the one I perform. I perform Wayne Houchin's counterfeit, which is close but not quite as good.

If you prefer to get way more "bang for your buck", grab a copy of his book "Drawing Room Deceptions" where the final 36 pages is dedicated to this effect as well as thoughts on the torn and restored plot. Then you can just enjoy the bonus 275 pages containing around 21 more effects and several sleights - plus a cleverly hidden effect "The Voodoo Card".

Just know, Reformation will take a lot of practice before it's ready for prime time.
