I think I remember reading somewhere that standard brand new Bicycles could be used as a one-way deck, without marking, etc.
I know the method was not the occasional variance in border width. Anyone have any info on this? |

The reference in the Encyclopedia of Card Tricks is no longer accurate for Rider Backs. They must have been printed that way back in the 1930's or so.

Yes, Bikes used to have a slight defect in their design that rendered them one-way backs, but that was corrected. You can still use Bikes as one-way backs if they are cut off-center, which is -sigh- sadly too often the case. Off-center Bikes also make good one-way fronts, which is actually more useful if you think about it.
