The latest thing I have been trying to learn is the four coin roll down. This is very difficult. I'm using four Kennedy halfs. I've seen a few different ways to do it. The one in Bobos dvd with Ben Salinas has you start with the stack between thing and index finger. You then pull off three using middle finger. I can get this far and then it goes south. Any tips for learning this flourish? How long did it take you?

Johnny Ace Palmer does a smooth one which is not that difficult
Why call it common sense when it's so rare ?

After seeing many, my favorite is the instant roll down as illustrated in Arthur Buckley's Principles and Deceptions -- my favorite coin book shy of Magic without Apparatus.

I doubt that many here are conversant with either, but I'd be delighted to learn otherwise.

You'd do well to learn with Dollars though, half dollars are too small for all but Downs.

Eric,

You are old school. Time to dust off my copy of Buckley's P and D.

Eric, thanks for the tip about using dollars. It does make it easier. I thought dollars would be too big and harder to learn. I was wrong. What I'M doing now is using three Ikes and using my thumb to position them. If I can get the hang of this, then I'll move to four coins.

I don't know about making it easier, but I do know more can see it.

Buckley and Gaultier, hard to go wrong with those two, if you want to do real magic for real people.

Otherwise, keep looking for the latest miracle that is angly or otherwise impractical as all get out...

Whatever, y'all do as you like. I'm just watching the wheels go round and round

I think McBride teaches three methods in his Maniuplations vol 1 or 2 with Coins Billiard balls and Thimbles. That's where I learns, that VHS is long gone, but I'm sure there is a DVD or download somewhere.
