The video fascinates me.
1. Why the mood-enhancing music? 2. Why do the "American" Nazis have such thick German accents? I have no idea regarding the provenance of the film. But it looks like German Nazi propaganda to me, rather than an authentic record of 20,000 American "Nazis" at Madison Square Garden. There were plenty of American Nazis and Nazi sympathizers. We don't need a film of spurious provenance to prove that. |

What it is fascinating is that the socialists link the National Socialist German Workers' Party rally and when it is pointed out they are Socialists and it looks like it hit pretty close to home to them they claim they are being attacked.
Which reminds me of Hitler.

He repeatedly talks about the Christian underpinnings of Nazism, while Marx on the other hand was an atheist; He colludes and is backed by the biggest capitalist companies in Germany; Yet despite all of the above, you have determined through some process of time-travel mindreading, that Hitler was secretly a Marxist. That's some amazing fantasy. Maybe he was secretly a rabbi, too, and all his words deeds and actions against Jews were just for show as well.

In Landmark’s idiotic Socialist utopia, people would able to have most of their needs met through Socialist controlled shops and businesses. Members of the society would be furnished many benefits, not the least of which would be to provide a bond with those of a similar worldview and a shared cultural heritage. Members of this society would then be instrumental in providing the necessities of life for those less fortunate within the society. Who on earth would want that?

2. Why do the "American" Nazis have such thick German accents? Because lots of them including Fritz Kuhn were relatively recent German immigrants. New York City had a very large German immigrant population between the two wars.

Who on earth would want that - I mean apart from Landmark of course.

I take it then that you and your family will refuse to use the NHS?

My sister is a communist and some of my family are black, etcetera. Is everybody the same in your family - and if they are then is your family more prejudice than mine?
I see nobody wants your Socialist utopia, apart from you, my sister and the Nazis so far.

Now that is a different question and what makes you think I ever took the NHS on for me to give it up. In fact, I have no doctor and have not had one for over half a century.
As for the idiot above, who thinks I am defending the Nazi's, he is wrong - what makes him think I would defend the National Socialists Workers party I don't know.

Typical response tommy. Support the Nazis while denying the name.
What are you so defensive about tommy? You call landmark's political views "idiotic" and you call me an "idiot". What are you afraid of?

That is a little disingenuous. After all money is being taken from him to fund health care, whether he likes it or not. .so having an opinion is valid.

How exactly does the indoctrinated petty minded troll Magnus Eisengrim above arrive at his insulting, highly offensive conclusion and silly false claim that I have defended the Nazi’s - when all that I have suggested is that the Nazi’s were socialists and that socialism, like his comment, is an utter load of crap? I challenge the idiot to produce one shred of evidence showing where I said anything like I defend the Nazis. If he can't then he ought to admit, if he is an honest man, he is exactly what I said he is.

Should a person have to pay for government expenditures that the person feels has nothing to do with him or her, yet he or she is a taxpayer? I don't think there's a simple answer to that. After all, the whole purpose of a government is to allow groups of people to do what an individual cannot do. Should I have the right not to pay for school taxes if I have no children? Should I have the right not to pay taxes that go to the military if I am convinced that it does nothing for me, and in fact increases my chances of getting hurt? Should I object to a lowered capital gains tax if I do not have income from capital gains? Should I object to infrastructure costs and public resources like water going to the meat industry if I am a vegetarian? Should I have no say in abortion policy because I am not a woman? Should I not have to pay for police if I have a private bodyguard? Should I have a say in gun policy if I don't own a gun? I suspect that most people would have a variety of answers and would appear fairly inconsistent across all those questions. Ultimately it comes down to, is self-interest alone the standard for what government policy should be? If so, then whose self-interest; if not, then how far afield should we go?

I think at some level when it comes to the 18 enumerated powers yes we should pay. One it gets beyond that there is an issue in my mind. This is a strictly American response mind you.
