Good post Glenn - thanks....Seems like some of the stuff I don't on that list is out of print I don't have small but deadly but I've seen conflicting reviews on that - I think I will eventually check it out.

The original reviews on the Café for the first edition of Small But Deadly can be found here, this is when it had to be shipped from England.
https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......=9036#11 All the titles mentioned above are good. Focus is mostly but not exclusively packet tricks but should be snapped up if you come across it. Small But Deadly is still in print, available from various dealers, the second edition printed in the USA is cheaper than the original. The sequel, "Still Small. Still Deadly" can be obtained here, now spiral bound for easier studying: https://www.thebookpatch.com/BookStoreRe......dl=title Or alternately it's available as an e-book from Lybrary.com: http://www.lybrary.com/advanced_search_r......in=title |

I can also recommend
- "Packet Racket" by David Devlin https://www.lybrary.com/packet-racket-p-393584.html and the sequel "Packet Racket II" https://www.lybrary.com/packet-racket-ii-p-921884.html - and a number of products by Aldo Colombini who was a master of the creating packet tricks: https://www.lybrary.com/packet-trick-picks-p-93980.html https://www.lybrary.com/packet-trick-treasures-p-94744.html https://www.lybrary.com/selfworking-pack......095.html (and many others; Aldo was prolific)
Lybrary.com preserving magic one book at a time.

Focus will give you a lot of bang for the buck.

Just picked up David Devlin's Packet Racket at lybrary. Nice set of effects.
I put together the "Salad Dressing" packet trick using the Superior gaff packet, but in the end was not totally pleased as the red back of the gaffs and the red back regular superiors in not an exact match. A better solution is to pick up a pair of gold back Bicycle Rider backs. That will supply two identical v******l s***t gaffs at the mere cost of just $10. You'll have a pair of those "rare" gaffs and a pair of decks too! Phil |
