I am adding to my "haunted theater" routine and would like to feature the spirit rope tie that I have seen Andre Kole and David Copperfield (Barclay House) use where the magician is tied wrists, neck, and ankles and can still get into a borrowed evening jacket and more. Is this found in a specific book or is it a newer non-published effect. I'm sorry if this might be better answered in another category -- new user to the forums.
Thanks, Steve |

New user here also (about 10 minutes...lol). Not sure if the discussion of secrets is permitted, from the way I interpreted the "terms" of the forum rules, I don't think it's permitted, however, risking a quick dismissal (lol) I will only say that if you have DC's "Barkley House" on video, watch it a few times, as I think it should be evident to those with a common knowledge of magic principles. Think "Strait-Jacket", then "Hindu Beads", as I have accomplished the same effect combining those two methods. Hope this helps, and if you never hear from me again...that means I said too much. LOL
"If I've told you once, I've told you a million times... Don't exaggerate!" And as Bill Hallahan requested, I can't put a website address in ANY post, so I'll add it here:

The tie you are referring to can be found in Tarbel Volume 6, page 309, The Gysel Spirit Tie. It may be found in other books, manuscripts as well, not sure.

Welcome to the Café and to the Forum Mr. Thomas. Apparently your post was borderline enough for you not to get the axe. We're looking forward to more posts from you.
