Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone had any fun ID routines they could share? Such a great effect and was just looking for a bit of inspiration for a few ways to present it!

Sankey has a $20 DVD called INVISIBLE. It has several good uses for the ID.

The $20 includes a deck.

It's not my idea but I saw a ID routine using a cell phone.
You ask the spectator to call someone you could not possibly know and ask them to name a card using the speakerphone.
You then show the card in the ID.
I believe I saw this on AGT.

I like the idea of putting an I'd in a bag...shaking it up and apparently mixing the cards up....take the deck out and spread it between your hands chest high, showing face up and face down cards...closing the spread and then showing one selected card is the only reversed card, so it's like a triumph effect.

Take a look at the book, "Invisible Secrets Revealed".

Jerry Lucas, the basketball hero and amateur magician, had a booklet he sold with an ID deck (which he called Imaginary Deck) in the 70s which detailed (more like glossed over) 25 different routines to use it with (plus 25 generic, self working, regular deck tricks)... You might be able to find it for a few bucks at used book stores or on the internet (I got mine from a used book shop, for $2.50 CAD)... Some fun ideas, though mostly just for card selection, like flipping a coin over a spread deck on the floor or a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey contraption.

The Jerry Lucas "Fifty Greatest Card Trick" Booklet (featuring... the Imaginary Deck)

Wow .
I knew Jerry Lucas wrote "The Memory Book" along with Harry Lorayne.
But I didn't know he was also an amateur magician.
Interesting.

Here is a good source of some very entertaining routines.

This is a great place to start http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S14200

This is a highly recommended investment.

Best of luck
