Does anyone happen to know who made the leather cases for this particular effect? The ones that were sold as part of the Schwarzman limited edition series.

Hi mystic,
Ask Trick Supply, Las Vegas, Nevada: sales@tricksupply.com (Thanks to: Mr. Frank Garcia. He came up with using leather, instead of envelopes!) |

I strongly suggest that you email them first before you send any money, to insure they have it in inventory.
Please let us knew the results. |

Hi,
I have already got an original set of the ones Howie Schwarzman sold, just was wondering who the maker of the limited edition was. |

I just asked Trick Supply.
If they respond, I'll let you know. |

Cheers for doing that,
the only reason I hadn't contacted them initially, was because I thought their set was the reissue (and not the limited edition). I then tracked an original limited set, (which, when comparing photos to the more recent look heavier in leather quality) I never considered that they might know who made the earlier heavier set. |

I, too, have his originals.
If no response, I'll try & call the man, himself. God bless him, he'll be 90, Nov. 20th.! |

Heard from Trick Supply. They will not disclose the mfg.. Will write to Mr. Schwarzman. (Phone call did not go through)
From Mr. Schwarzman: "The original version of this trick, "IMPACT", was featured in Roy Walton's marvelous book, "The Devil's Playthings", published in London in 1969. Some time later, my old friend Frank Garcia, who had been doing this trick, had several sets of wallets made to replace the paper envelopes used in the original. He gave me one of these sets, and I have been using it for many years, featuring "LEATHER IMPACT" in my close-up performances. Over time have had many requests from other magicians for the leather sets. I have finally found someone who is able to provide these leather wallets at a reasonable cost. I am sure that your audiences will appreciate this excellent trick and the extra touch of class provided by the leather wallets." |

Thanks again,
I know Roy quite well and in fact have just got off a phone call with Gordon Bruce. Having the set myself I have seen the instructions and indeed have "The Devil's Playthings" (Scottish Magic Archive). This might just be a piece of info that is not meant to be found, who knows. All best, |

Hi, Mr. John,
Haven't heard from Mr. Schwarzman, yet. The above statement was from him on pg. 1 of 4, when I received the effect, with the 4 leather wallets) Sixten p.s. Already own the envelope version (Larry West & Roy Walton): "Ace~Hole." |

Hi again, Mr. John,
Everything is the same! (Gotta love the leather though!) Warmest regards, Sixten |
