I used to travel to Venezuela regularly, and loved the flavor of the coffee there. The only thing that I have found (to this point) that rivals that particular taste is the Starbucks Guatemala.
However, the only way I've been able to get that distinctive, what I call 'South American' kind of flavor, is to have them do a pour over. I've bought the coffee in a bag and brewed it, used the Keurig version (also tried putting the bagged coffee into an aftermarket steel and plastic K-Cup), all to no avail Good coffee, but that particular flavor that I get from the pour over is just not there. Only conclusion to draw is that if I want to make it at home, I'll need to buy a pour over device, which I'm happy to do. Starbucks doesn't have them in the local stores I've called. They have them online, but... Anyone have a particularly good recommendation? Don't mind buying the Starbucks version, but thought I would get some other opinions, first. Would prefer to buy locally, but online recommendations are happily accepted Thanks in advance~
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
