I just got a Madison Kitten Deck from Ellusionist. There are no written instructions with it, and, as I understand it, there will be a video appearing sometime with explanations of what can be done with this deck. But, it seems to me that it's designed for Daniel Madison fans. I mean, I don't really know how to use many of the features this deck is supposed to have -- I don't know what Angle Z means, for example. Until that video comes out, the deck -- cute and clever as the basic idea is -- will probably remain unused in the drawer. Comments from anyone else who has this deck -- ?

These two videos will explain most of what you are looking for.

They refer (for example) to something called "Angle Z," which is apparently a trick invented by Daniel Madison which can employ a gaffed card included with the Kittens deck, BUT they don't explain how to DO that trick or even what the effect of the trick is. I don't know anything about Madison's work, and these two videos don't explain anything about it, but only allude to it. So, I'm left high and dry. See?? |

Got It. I'll try to explain Angle Z. Better yet here is a link that explains it.
http://www.mylovelyassistant.com/reviews/view/4147 The Kitten deck comes with 1 card that lets you do the gimmicked version of the trick. As far as I know the Kitten deck does not come with written or video instructions explaining the markings or the gimmicked version of angle z. Hope this helps alittle. |

Angle Z is in Ellusionist's Ultimate Gaff Deck.
I have Kittens, but have been unable to find the markings. |

The markings are worthless. I've never seen a marked deck with such useless markings. You could even tell the spectators that they were marked, and tell them where the markings were, and they still wouldn't be able to find them. They are unreadable. FYI, the markings are in the bottom left corner inside the "ribbon" running around the edge. The markings are so small there is no way to reliably use them. If you really want to see what the markings look like, you'll need a magnifying glass. No, I'm not kidding.

Holy smokes. I finally saw the markings. Yes, I needed a magnifying glass. TOTALLY USELESS.
And the Angle-Z card is good for one time only, since it gets torn and given away. |
