How do you have a cellphone chat with a stranger?

standing in a bus line, I have observed kids answering calls from people they did not know, even a wrong number or sales call.
Doesn't matter - their mouth can't move without a phone to their ear.

Then there are those who make fake calls to themselves - even buy an app to have an "impressive" conversation.

What a Mind Reading trick! You call yourself and then try and figure out that you are thinking.

Also, some exchange phone numbers with FaceBook friends - strangers in any meaningful sense.

But, of course, I was referring to difference between people one knows somewhat and have reason to trust,
and those with whom they have had only "false persona" contact via the Internet or cellphone.

"stranger" is relative. So is "friend."
