Are there any language dependencies ? The Ad doesn't say „any language“...

Recently someone asked me the level of difficulty for "Think".
Because we are dealing here with a "Propless" method, based entirely on script and words (no Du*l Real*ty btw) , it is not for beginners but isn't expert level either. You need some solid foundations in the basic psychological aspect of our art to get the value of this routine and all the possible variants that Silas offers. Thanks for the interest so far!

Why is nobody talking about this?
Pablo + Someone I've never heard of + Propless + Non-descript description is bound to = GOLD! |

I was lucky to get a review copy of Think and, although this is good, I don't feel it's great.
Silas teaches 3 of his variations on the propless think-of-a-card plot. There are a number of very nice subtleties spread throughout the book and all the variants taught, that I'll already incorporated in my work. As for the routines themselves, apart from a very clever method to get the value of the playing card that I think is pretty original, everything else is based on tried and tested methods that Silas combined in an efficient way. The thing about this is that it relies heavily on your persona and your ability to deliver a script with confidence and boldness. In all honestly, I don't see myself being able to perform this consistently in a convincing manner. I did try one of the variations a couple of times today and the first time I felt it went really well, but the second time - maybe because I was overconfident - seemed really transparent to the participant. 2 tries isn't much, so I'll keep on trying it a few more times and report back All in all, I think it is an interesting read, which gave me food for thought and gave me a few ideas that I'm thinking of incorporating in my own work. |

Clear something up. For me, what gets lost in propless is that sometimes it's needless. I've done think of a card from a deck for years - I learnt it from Joe Riding and in recent times it had a makeover and release as "The Reputation Maker". I've done some solid sleight of hand for people and had muted responses and I've then done think of a card and they go crazy. Is this any stronger for being propless?

Is this a 100% hit every time

Honestly, I don't think it's stronger. In fact, I believe if you asked the author, he'd agree with me. "Think" is more intended as an alternative (a good one nonetheless) than an ultimate method.

Ah okay... I was just really confused. Maybe you should've told Silas to call it something else, as you are aware, there's another propless card divination with the same name
Still holding off for some actual reviews. Anyone? //Dan |

Wasn't my review an "actual review"?

If anyone owns Cog by Ben Seward, how does this compare?

"Think" and "Cog" are very different
For starters, unlike Cog, Think is 100% surefire. Quote:

Forgive me, but that's exactly how one would describe the first Think... They think of any card, and by mixing different verbal principles, you can deduce what card they are thinking of.
