I've addressed it, you just don't like the answer so you ignore, deflect, and project.

Why are you so desperate for it to have mean what you need it to mean? Why does it even matter to you?

Jingo all the way?

Incorrect. You denied there is an accent.
Shall I cut and paste it?
Try pronouncing 'Murican aloud. Who talks like that? I'll await your answer.
Next: Why does racism matter to me? Because it is wrong, and when I see it propagated here, like in your mockery of Americans who speak with an accent that makes them pronounce America as Murica, I speak out against it.

Yes, I denied there is any particular accent, because there IS no accent - except in the minds of those who need to hear one.

And, if you want to fight against racism, you should start with the guy you see in the mirror.

One of my beliefs is that, despite the bombardment of bad news we get these days, 99% of ALL people are inherently good, and, given a free and fair society, would choose to live peaceful, productive, happy, non-violent lives.

Therefore I believe that 99% of the people that make up the system are good people doing their jobs conscientiously.
What I constantly TALK about are the 1%, inside the system and out, who manipulate the system. Since it only takes a little bit of cancer, and that 1% does the most harm, that's what we talk about.

By that way of thinking I could say that you constantly complain about socialism, but I'm sure you don't see it that way.

The system is fine; it's SOME of the people in it that aren't. The "system" isn't racist, some of the people in it are.

It's as simple as that.

One could draw a parallel between the ancient disregard for Christians during the Roman Empire and the modern disregard for Arab (some are Muslim) lives during this age of oil fueled abstraction. I suggest we not repeat the story.

Exactly.

It's not the subject, it's the disregard, however old.

As long as the 99 percent are willing to endorse and enforce the toxic manipulations of the 1 percent...and permit compounding ... only takes a few bad apples to ferment the entire crop.

Well then if 1% are the problem your idea of taking guns away from the 99% is even more untenable. With the theory stated above it would not matter how many guns there were in the world. 99% of people are good. 1% is a statistical anomaly. It is LUDICROUS to punish 99% of the population because you are scared of 1%.

Thanks for explaining.

The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America 1st Edition
by Richard Rothstein (Author)

"In this groundbreaking history of the modern American metropolis, Richard Rothstein, a leading authority on housing policy, explodes the myth that America’s cities came to be racially divided through de facto segregation―that is, through individual prejudices, income differences, or the actions of private institutions like banks and real estate agencies. Rather, The Color of Law incontrovertibly makes clear that it was de jure segregation―the laws and policy decisions passed by local, state, and federal governments―that actually promoted the discriminatory patterns that continue to this day."

I was speaking generally, as you know.

My position on guns was explained on the first page of this thread.

Anyone who says, or implies, that I have ever been for total prohibition of all guns, or that I seek some sort of perfect utopic society, is a liar.

99% of the population don't want to own a high powered weapon , so it is LUDICROUS to punish the majority of those of us, so a small percentage of gun owners can indulge in Rambo fantasies.

Or racist "patriotic" fantasies. Remember, these mutts believed they were doing the patriotic thing.

Have you pronounced it out loud yet? Go on...theres a good gentlemen. Say it. Say "murica" . Good. Now, if you tell me that is not an accent then you are not only a racist but you'll also be a liar and you won't be fooling any of us. (Too many people saw the puppet show you see.)

Yes Danny, we've established it is racist a long time ago. And despite your jab, I remember your post saying so. That's not the issue of contention here. Rather, it's twister' s denial that Murica implies an accent.
Seems only one of us is keeping up. (Return jab)

It is just ironic that those who cry racist and hate so loudly don't mind being racist and hateful of other groups. Hypocrisy seems not to bother people any more just so their agenda gets pushed forward.

It is actually what I enjoy about landmark. He is consistent. I may disagree about the content, but he is intellectually honest with himself and consistent.
