Hi, I'm looking for any plans, books, lectures, or videos on constructing an oil drum escape. I've been using my own method for years, but I've never really been fully happy with it and I want to see what else is out there. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time digging up info. A search of the Café mentions plans or maybe a lecture by a Mark Tripp, but I can't seem to find anything more than that.
I would greatly appreciate anyone that can point me in the right direction for some good resources. Thanks! |

If you can find a copy of Arthur Coughlin's book, while it is quite expensive, there is the plan for a brilliant and diabolical escape.
I don't know this for sure, but I believe that most drum escapes are really chain or handcuff escapes with a drum that may be fairly close to normal. Coughlin's drum is very normal but very sneaky. Dan Harlan has a plastic trash can escape on his Tarbell escape video that is both inexpensive to build and not to difficult to perform. Hope that helps.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right! |
