In the intro video for his new DVD, Ben Earl does a Card Spring that I think is really cool. The hand from which the cards are sprung is in an open palm position (I think that's the best way I can describe it). Not sure how it's done.

I don't know a name, but it appears to simply be pressure between the thumb and the base of the fingers.

I was reading one of his lecture notes and he described a false cut he says he came up with and described it as "the best in existence." I'm not a fan
