Hi guys Im very happy to let you know that the executive grid has just been released. This is a very easy magic square tool that will allow you to perform the routine with the info you need hidden in plain sight.
If you are familiar with the previous grid released by Paul time ago this is a much portable version and the fact that is a dry erase board it makes all more easy to use. Is also a perfect item ti add to the upcoming release THE FOX 🦊 AD COPY: Everyone knows the power punch that a Magic Square delivers to an audience. Here's a way to conveniently perform the effect with more confidence, in many situations. The Executive Grid is a specially designed, 110mm x 150mm, 16 cell grid, 4 x 4 Magic Square. It's been printed onto a handy-sized dry-wipe board, which will sit nicely in your pocket or as a perfect accompaniment to a corporate folio. But the real unique feature lies in the simple-to-follow crib, which is cleverly disguised in the mathematical formulae border design... no need for super human memory recall... no more hard-to-decipher crib stuck to your magic marker or notepad... no more embarrassing mind-blank or confusion... all is self-contained and in plain sight. Ideal for close-up, corporate, trade-show and walk around performances. Includes: The Executive Grid, marker, and online instructions. Available to your favorite dealer Video: https://youtu.be/CZ3iLxOyyO0

Hi Luca,
I've watched your video but am not sure what the routine actually is as it shows you writing a number in the solution box, and then filling up the grid with numbers that will total the solution - which from an audience point of view, you could easily just remember that? Could you do this (sorry but I am not familiar with this device!): - Ask the audience to name any number. - They write this number in the solution box. - Magician then fills up the grid and all the numbers add up to the audience's number. Is there a better routine since although the above is good, its more of a great mathematician than a magic illusion? Thanks! |

Mathematical, memory, and perhaps body-language-reading effects can often make great openers because many spectators believe that such a power is possible, or at least plausible. Later in the performance, they are then more likely to find a telepathy, clairvoyance, or even a precognition effect plausible. At least that is the theory of Lee Earle, Chuck Hickok, and others. In mentalism, however, if the people experience an effect as "a magic illusion," the mentalist has failed.

I have found when you start with a magic square opener, or any number of effects that show a quick intellect, the audience gets the impression that you are a quick study and therefore other situations dealing with the power of the mind are now in the realm of possibility. This product appears to be a nice clean way of remembering the equations as well as the placement of these numbers. Although I mostly work from memory on my square I can see this item helping a number of mentalists. And for $35.00 you can't go wrong.
Good magic to all, Eric |

In this case you need to chose your own method for p@@@k the spectator’s number, this why we suggest THE FOX 🦊 as also fit inside it!

Thank you George and Eric, I hope you are both keeping well.
Hi patapon, as Luca and the other guys have said, the Magic Square can be performed in many ways and under different guises, including a demonstration of super quick mathematical agility, or as a surprise reveal to a mind reading, or other mentalist styled routine. You are correct in saying that the performer can memorise a method and many successfully do so but under performance pressure, should you suffer a sudden attack of 'mind-blank' you are dead in the water. With both the original Psychic Grid and now the mini-sized Executive Grid, I have built into the dry-wipe board a 100% sure-fire, super-fast way of simply completing the Magic Square, eliminating the risks of mind-blank, with no memory work whatsoever, removing the risk of getting caught, particularly in close-up situations, by trying to decipher a hard to see crib hidden in close proximity, or wrapped around a magic marker. I also show a method of eliminating any discrepancies between the numbers populating the 16 cells should a larger target number be chosen by the participant. This handling also enables the performer to repeat the effect again and again, to the same audience, should they wish to do so. As I mention in the trailer, by releasing the Executive Grid, we are hoping to encourage performers of all genres, to reconsider how powerful the Magic Square really is, in establishing the skill of the performer and the impact it can have on an audience. Please feel free to post or pm me here on the Café or via our website, should you have any questions. Paul McCaig.

Thanks all for shedding some light on what one could do with the Grid!
I'll try to read up more on how to use this as a "mentalism" effect as opposed to just appearing to be good at math and numbers, which was how this struck me when I first saw the video. |

For instance, if you are either explicitly or implictly stating to the audeicne that you are able to "read" people's minds is becasue you are adept at reading people's behavior, mvoements, and intonations. You realized that you aquired a keen sense for patterns of behavior as well as a keen sense of math since math is all about patterns even though in school you were never good in math. You then demonstrate using The Executive Grid. After The Excutive Grid you the nfollow up with a Which Hand effect and/or a Truth or Lie routine where you then demosntrate your ability to read people's body language and/or tone of voice, etc. There are numerous ways to present this type of routine, but that dpends upon your character and what type of ability or abilities, if any, you are trying to convey to your audience that you possess. This looks like a cool solution for a persistent problem. Am interested. But does it help to allow different values for the same total?

Yes, it certainly does and this is covered-off in the instructional video and 9 page PDF, using the same simple method mentioned in my post above, which also eliminates any odd looking discrepancies between the values which populate the 16 cells when a larger target number is given and enables you to repeat the effect, should you wish to do so. My cabaret/stage ‘Psychic Grid’ was a 44cm x 32cm, 16 cell grid, 4 x 4 Magic-Square, printed in a brown and pale ochre non-reflective surface onto a top quality fibre-board, finished with a protective, waxed, American Oak surround. The reverse side was a non-reflective dry-wipe board, ideal for drawing duplications, predictions etc but by special request could be produced as a 25 cell grid, 5 x 5 Magic-square, suitable for performing Docc Hilford’s terrific ‘Window of Your Future’ routine. As with The Executive Grid, the reverse side also had the mathematical formulae border design for continuity. Both The Psychic Grid and our PW3000 were made to order limited edition items, which are no longer available. I know that a lot of Café members purchased both, so it could be worth putting out a request on the 'Wanted' section. All the best, Paul McCaig.

I just showed this to my 15 year old son and 13 year old son. Both my sons are honor students and my 15 year old is also an honors math student and will soon be given an invitation to joint the math national high school honor society. They both were familiar with magic squares from tier math classes, but they could not beelive how fast I was able to do the magic square, especially since I am not proficient in math as they are, and they both were incredibly impressed. I am giving them both their own The Executive Grid. Very easy to do. Deceptive method. Highly recommended.

My original Psychic Grid was individually made to order and only available directly from us at Psychic Mentality. Whereas, in conjunction with Luca Volpe Productions, my Executive Grid was released via Murphy's Magic. An agreed number of Executive Grids have been made available to magic dealers Worldwide, including all major dealers here in the Uk. As part of this business arrangement and in fairness to all who are promoting and selling this, it will not be available directly from me until the 'X'00's distributed by Murphy's have been sold. There is no 'pre-order' option with Psychic Mentality, only a blank page saying 'Coming Soon!'. Any enquiries I receive regards purchasing the Executive Grid are being directed towards the nearest stockist. All the best, Paul McCaig.

This looks pretty neat. When I first saw that formula on the sides I felt inferior until I listened to audio. I use to do MS impromptu years ago but forgot and just don't have the motivation to learn it again. This is on my radar now...
