Hi all - So I want to perform the Isolated routine taught incorporating Rubik's 360. I have a new Rubik's 360 - and noticed that the sticker colors don't match the sticker colors supplied with the cubes in Isolated. Like, not even close. They are all different shades from each other. I assume I can buy replacement stickers - but should I be looking for a certain variety?
Thanks in advance.

The stickers supplied with RD360 are a flat finish - Isolated Cubes have almost florescent bright stickers. I'm really surprised this hasn't come up already as this is one of the strongest routines for Isolated (IMHO.)

The RD360 routine on Isolated is supposed to use an RD360 with different color stickers to the Isolated cube so the ones supplied with the RD360 are perfect.
The audience will tell you its not the same cube and there is no signature, you then own up to using 2 cubes and produce the one in the jar. It also takes all heat off the RD360 as the cube in jar is the more interesting object.

Saturn doesn't seem interested in selling the colored stickers. When I asked Mark about availability he told me his supplier would have a hard time matching the colors, whatever that means. Why they went with non-standard colors is a mystery. The cube doesn't even match their own Cube Cards, which is not a huge deal but it would be better if it did. Normally you can just change out all the stickers on a cube but since this one is in a jar it's not really doable.
So I bought a whole bunch of stickers from the Cubicle and some match pretty well, close enough I think. But I had another need in mind and perhaps you do too, but remember that the 360 doesn't really have to match. You can pull it off like of course it's not your signed cube, it doesn't even look like it, your cube is over here inside this jar. IMO, it's better if they don't match for that routine because you're obviously trying to "switch" the cubes on them. |

The coloured stickers for the Isolated cube are not available to buy anywhere as far as I know.
The spare stickers we supply we specially are made and cut for us we do not buy them off the shelf. The supplier we use sent me samples of their colours and none of them matched. They said they could try and source the same colours and asked how many sets I would need. The fact is for Isolated as it is we don't need the coloured stickers so if my supplier was to spend the time trying to match the colours the demand would be very low and price very high. So it is not a case of not being interested, we are being asked for something that we don't need for our trick as supplied and to have them made as a special would be very expensive. In fact it would be cheaper to buy a new cube and take the stickers off that than to have a small batch custom made.

Mark, not trying to argue but it just seems odd that you can't get matching stickers from the same supplier who provides you with the cubes.
During manufacture there must be sheets or rolls of stickers separate from the plain blank cubes, right? Although it may be a moot point because other cubes and the RD360 might require larger stickers anyway. Which brings us back to it would have been nice if the Isolated cubes had standard colors. |

We had to use that cube because it works for the trick not all cubes will so we have to live with the colours, no that there is anything wrong with them and for the RD routine it's great they are nothing like the RD colours.. If anyone wants Isolated to match the colours of their existing cubes, send us the stickers and we will make a set up for you with your stickers on.

Now ya tell me But then that begs the question that if you can make it with any stickers, then again, why the non-standard colors? It's not that I care that much about it but you've just made it more confusing and now you've got me curious about the whole thing. |

The spare stickers we supply had to be specially made because we can't buy the stickers on there own from the supplier.
The cube colour is what it is we did not make them, many cubes are that kind of colour but the stickers all tend to be different sizes, trust me we looked into this, the closest we found were 1mm larger than the ones on the cube. We could have supplied those but then some would complain about the size difference so we had them custom made to the right size. The company that custom makes the white stickers do not have the same colours as our cube, yes they could cut colours if they had the right colours but the cost would be too high to produce a small batch after buying in the sheets etc. If anyone wants anything no standard then please contact us direct and we can discuss, but spare coloured stickers are not going to happen unless you want to buy at least 500 sets which is the minimum from our supplier.

OK, got it, thanks.
But I wonder why the cube supplier won't sell you stickers on their own? Especially with the number of cubes you must buy from them. If cubers are buying their cubes all over the world I would think there would be a large enough market for selling replacement stickers that the manufacturer would offer them. I mean they are already producing them, so it would seem they are just neglecting another source of revenue. Maybe this forces their customers to replace the entire cube when needed, but it seems like a strange business practice for them. But oh well, such is life. I've managed to find stickers where the colors are close enough and the cubes are not seen side by side anyway. The slightly larger size stickers actually work out better for my use too. So I can make it work. |

But having watched the videos all the way through and thought about the process involved in creating a cube in jar.... I actually think it's probably very reasonably priced for a refil. Love the effect. Great thinking from Kieron. And amazing "pre-sale service". I had emailed Kieron about if this was suited for a seated performance. He instantly sent me his number and arranged for a time to go through the whole routine with me and discuss whether it would be possible for seated performance. We never got to the conversation as I decided that my magic cave a needed a Rubick's,s cube in jar that has been signed by my wife/ other family members. So got it anyway. I have to say that Kieron is one clever cookie! Not disappointed at all....ok sure I am a little disappointed..... I was really hoping for a mini set of pods form the fly.....but I guess technology isn't there yet instead we get lumbered with a credit card, cardboard box, oxy acetylene welding gear and the ATeam sound track. |

Mark did answer this and basically all would be cool, And yes I own it and yes I would be shape with them breaking the glass to use as a normal cube.... So long as they clear up the glass. David |
