I have just this minute joined the Café. Though I have done many forms of magic during my life, cards, coins, mentalism, for the last year or so I have been concentrating on Bizarre Magic. I look forward to talking with many magicians at the Café as I have little contact with magicians in the area I live.

Welcome BizarrwRich,

You will be amazed at the far flung folks you can talk to now that you are a member.

I direct you to "The spooky, the mysterious...the bizarre!" in the Cellar. To each his own.

Have fun?

Thanks Mary for your kind welcome. Living in a smallish town in Australia I don't often get to talk to magicians and it gets increasingly difficult to watch the will to live drain from my families faces as soon as I begin to talk to them about magic. I really am looking forward to talking about magic to people who don't just pretend to be interested. Thanks for the advice about the cellar I think I will head down the steps now.

By the way, (after you have a few posts so people can get to know you) you might enter the largest city near you and Australia in search and see any names pop up. You could PM (private message) them for a possible meet-up or at least some more local Magic news.

Hey BizzareRich!

My favorite area on the Café is "The spooky, the mysterious...the bizarre!" There is a real camaraderie there, and some excellent practitioners, both professional and amateur who are very generous with their knowledge and time.

Once you hit 50 legitimate posts, you can access "Inside the Crypt," where more in-depth techniques are discussed.

Happy to have you!
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Thanks Mary Mowder and Wizard of Oz. I have spent some time browsing the Café before joining and I have read quite a number of your posts, Wizard of Oz, in the Cellar. Mary, I like your idea about meeting up with other Bizzare Magicians. I do know that there are some who live in or near Sydney and it would be awesome to get to know them. I have noticed that some people have posted an introduction post in the cellar and I thought this is something I should probably do.

I think it is bizarre that your family reacts to magic much like my family does. Here we are on opposite sides of the globe, and yet the same bizarre reaction.

Welcome to the Café. I hope you are being facetious when say that your family loses the will to live.

Well Inlver don't feel too bad for my family the will to live returns, they tell me, as soon as I stop talking about magic. I'm not sure, paulalpha, that it is wrong that I feel quite happy to hear that someone else has this effect on their family. It's just nice to know that I'm not alone in this. I wonder, if like me, this draining of the will to live fails to stop you talking to them about magic? Anyway, the good news is that so far my family are all survivors, which I put down to the fact that I generously give them 8 hours a day respite from my otherwise incessant magic chatter

Welcome, you should have joined long ago. This is like facebook for magicians. Lots of talent and experience on tap here, it's great!
Have a Magical Day!

I really didn't know how to explain it.
So I told them the truth, and they fell for it!

Thanks John. I totally agree I've only been on here a few days and not only has it been fun but I have already learnt things that will improve my magic. I hope sometime I will be able to do the same for others.
