I'm assuming you use two different locator cards (the short isn't the breather). Why the two?

I know one trick which uses a breather. It's a lot of fun so I'd like to learn more. Can anyone recommend a book that has maybe a chapter or more of tricks using one? Or maybe a DVD?

I actly love the concept of using tech cards during SOH. As orhers have mentioned, cr***s and short c****** are the most common. Simetimes Ill use a locater card like a k** Card to find a card. It is espectially easy if I am lerforming a joker routine. The kc just becomes one of the jokers. This way I can very fairly loose the card into the deck, perform a few false shufdles and then search for the jokers to do the sandwitch. From there I just control their card to the top.

Bob King's trilogy as mentioned is most complete source I know, but maybe out of print. In print: Magic of Nick Trost, Magic of Johnny Thompson.
