I just got this today and have a few comments that may be helpful to those interested. Overall I'm happy with it (I love cube effects) but I would certainly prefer a more clear and detailed instructional DVD.
There are two ways to insert the cube into the bottle. If you plan to let your spectators poke the cube, it has to be inserted in a certain way that is more difficult both to insert and remove. The DVD at this point is very vague and poorly describes the actions necessary for the cubes removal. The camera angle also obscures the actions, leaving you largely to guess what is happening. Of course, with a lot of fiddling about, and re-watching the video repeatedly, I finally figured out what I think he was doing. But it would be wonderful to actually see and have a better description of what is happening. I checked the website link hoping there was a better description, but it is identical to the DVD. Again, I like this, but I'm not sure I'll be doing the more difficult, "poke-able" version because its just a pain to get the cube back out of the bottle with the given instructions. Just my opinion, Rick |

I love mine, and I am surprised that the cubes that come with this effect are the exact same cubes that come with Real Cube by Harry G. 😄

Can the cube be removed from jar and used again for the next show?

Does anyone know how much examination the cube can hold up to? For example, can the cube be held by a spectator before being inserted into the jar (although not necessarily mixed)?
Also, how much mixing can be done with the cube? Can it be solved? Or would you need to remove and replace stickers for you to get it into a certain pattern? |

It comes with two cubes. A regular cube (can be examined), and a gimmick cube (cannot be examined). If you know the secrets, you can "freely" show all 6 sides of the gimmick cube. When the gimmick cube is inside the jar, it can be briefly examined (eg. poke, shake...).
The gimmick cube comes unsolved. If you want people to think that you only have one cube, it's better to replace the stickers. Hope I answered your questions. |

Do not buy this. I only have practiced this for a couple hours and the gimmick is already showing signs of failing. I was handling it very gently but still it is starting to show signs it will eventually break and there does not seem to be an easy way to service it. It still works but is "softening " and you can see little "hairs" sticking out.

"You can give this "Cube in Bottle" to the audience as a souvenir after the show" is a quite typical add-statement. yes... after the show = after switching... ;-) but this is not the "no-go" for me. but the clicking sound when putting the parts in, is not acceptable for a by its nature close-up or parlor effect. the sounds give away every secret. I stay with henry harrius version. at the end all three main variations to the effect (this one, hh cube in bottle and kierons isolated, which I own too) have their pros and cons, but here I see the least pros...
but: many thanks for the latest post of the honest "how it works" video. I appreciate this honest customer support! |

I am wondering how people feel about getting this in the bottle. How easy is it? Does it look odd?

It's easy. Does it look odd? Only if you do it like like the demo. There isn't really any escaping it, unless you use something to block the action like doing it behind your back.
Your choices in life can be compared to watching a magic trick: You can continue to believe the illusion in front of you, find the intrigue and desire to learn more, or quit paying attention the moment you feel deceived.

For me, it's not easy to put the cube in. The gimmick might break if you put it in and out all the time.
