Thanks for answering the questions and for your wonderful guarantee. Unless you are using dental mold materials, it is good to know if the user gets air bubbles in his/her mold, that you will do what you can to get a usable product.
"I am sorry your experiment into the TT thing did not work out." It was not that it did work out. I ended it since after seeing a larger thumbtip (I expanded the tip with Naptha and remolded and then recast) it was my determination that the features were exaggerated since they were larger. Thus to get the size of a standard tip for my thumb, I determined there was little benefit to having an EXACT match to my real thumb. With a little bit of that TONER, as you call it, I can blend a standard tip into my thumb and the my "fake nail" is just as good as a real nail if made right. IT depends on the tip you tried putting it on and what you were using. I was not using a fake nail but using something made for nails to create a nail. Anyway thank you for putting the new photo up. It looks pretty good although it is not as close as the other images on the site. And your welcomed for giving you a better way of marketing your product. (wink) To be a bit more cautious, I want to hear from someone who has it. In your new photo it appears you are pressing down to help push the tip into the flesh thus better enhancing the illusion. But if you hold your hand out in mide air I wonder how pronounced the seam is? Maybe I would not be as picky if you did not claim it could be seen under ones nose and how you have blown magicians away who look for a tip. Now maybe you are not pressing it but it looks that way in the photo and I am sure based on how strong you feel about it, more photos would not hurt and probably benefit your sales. Maybe shots of a thumb on that is made to fit a silk not just a tip for a tiny amount of water. Also the shot are not from the side but from the top down. I do not know how often I ever show the top of my hand and the the natural postion for my hand is with the flesh of the pinky down and to the outside which means you see part of the side of the thumb. Or what about as seen from the other side where many like to flash their hands empty? (open palm) It is just that when I look at my thumb. Sure you can blend in the top and maybe the bottom but my sides are pretty smooth which does create a seam line at those two points. So then I am back to thinking that this is the same issue with any tip. My only other question for the time is on coloration. I would think this is the main key. It could be AN EXACT MATCH in every way, but if the color comes out too dark or light it will stand out just as any standard tip would. "The tips are tinted through out so fading will not happen. Every one has a true natural skin tone" How accurate is the color chart and what can one expect? That is, I underdstand YOU CAN MAKE THE BEST TIP FOR YOUR finger since you can tweak. You have YOUR FINGER to go through trials. BUT how close can you come from a printed color chart and mail order? Does the kit provide a matching "toner" to blend the tip to the thumb in case you are not dead on? Don't get me wrong. I am all on board to your product if it is practical and if it truely blends as well as you say. Thanks again. |

Thumb tips are invisible. Period. I've peformed countless tricks right under people's noses with the Vernet tip without hiding my thumb behind my hand at all. I just keep my hands in motion(even that's not necessary). Nobody ever sees it. If you can have the perfect match, great. But I think that's more of an unnecessary psychological security thing for the magician. Or a way to fool other magicians. Let's face it, unless you say, "hey, look at my thumb!" lay people do not see thumb tips. And even if they're familiar with the thumb tip(from a kid's starter magic kit, perhaps), their head is not going there. It always amazes me, but it's true! All the best to Keith, but really, has anyone ever been caught using a TT or suspected of using one from a layperson?

I have to admit I have been busted by kids using a thumbtip.
Never by adults but kids have noticed something iffy. I realise that thumbtips can be invisible but where's the harm in having one that matches as closely as possible. Lets face it, it cant hurt. |

Also would be interested in having a Sanada that is exact match of my own skin tone. |

Keith,
From the few images I've seen on your site, I must say the tips look incredible. I remember watching Copperfield do Kozlowsky's $100 bill switch on TV. I kept staring at his thumb the entire time wondering what kind of tip he was using. I can only assume he was using something similar to your new tips. My question is this: I love my vernet, I purchased one of those "Thumbs-up!" tips and didn't like the feel of it. Do you have any way of allowing someone to 'feel' how your tips feel before the drop the $75? Maybe like a generic tip for a few bucks (maybe un-detailed)? Basically I want to feel how a bill slips in and out of it. Anything like that? |

If you have a creature, they are made from the same material. A durable plastic.

Joseph,
I have the same problem. I keep a bit of soft bees wax behind a button on my shirt. Rolling it around betweed my fingers in between sets realy solved my problem and provides good grip. I did not like the lotions as they were gressy. This provides the right tack in all the right places quickly and easly. Plus I do other effects with the wax so it is there anyways. |

The molds are back from the first six orders placed. I have just finished the TTs and they look really nice. I am very happy with them. I'll post some shots of them when they are dry as the variety is cool to see. The TTs should be in their new owners hands (or on their thumbs) by mid next week.

I have a darker tone and might be interested in several of these. Do you have a special rate for multiple tips? I use them primarilly for 9" silks.
