Profile of Scott Wells
During a recent road trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan, I drove over 3,200 miles around the Midwest visiting and talking with friends old and new. During that month-long road trip, I recorded many conversations most of which were posted in the daily updates from the I.B.M. convention. and some of the conversations will be posted down the road.

But one of the conversations that is posted this week is a short chat with Clark May who recently opened a brick and mortar magic shop in a small town of Locust Grove, Oklahoma (pop. 1,404) with no online presence. It is a rather enlightening chat. Then after I returned home, I had a Skype chat with Stuart MacDonald who told us of his recent experience competing in South Korea at F.I.S.M. This is an eye-opening conversation and anyone who plans to compete in any magic contest at any level should hear.

You can watch a video of Stuart performing on "Penn and Teller Fool Us", see some photos of Clark's magic shop, "Rabbit In Hat Magic Shop", listen to the online podcast, and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/scot......t-events
