Hello Everyone. My name is Colin Blaxter and I will soon be turning 60! When I wore a younger man's clothes, I was fascinated by Magic, the fact that my late uncle was a professional Magician and Clown here in Australia for may years (Mr Magico) certainly provided much encouragement and wonder. I have recently taken up magic again, mostly card magic. I am hoping to learn much from this marvellous magic community and hope to get some answers for some very old Stuthard packet tricks I recently re-discovered.
Cheers

Welcome SaltyDog,

Your Uncle was a Clown and you're doing Card Tricks.(not that there's anything wrong with Cards). Care to comment on that?

Use the search function for Stuthard Packet Tricks. If that doesn't help you can ask in the "Deckless" forum in the "pick a Card section.

Good luck.

Thank You Mary. With regards to my late uncle, he had loved magic and the circus from when he was a child and fulfilled his dream of owning his own Circus in the latter half of his life. Admittedly it was a small family orientated circus with his wife and their animals but it toured all over Australia. He had previously performed magic around Australia and New Guinea.
He was friends with Arthur Coghlan and as a teen we visited the Magic Castle on the Gold Coast in Queensland a few times. He made the Sun disappear at the Mount Hagen, PNG show in the 70's (natural Total Eclipse!) I am pretty sure he knew Joe Stothard as I am sure we met a magician with a funny accent at the Royal Show in Sydney once. Please remember, I was a kid and had little exposure to people from overseas let alone Canadians!
My career path took a slightly different turn. I joined the Navy, served for 23 years and retired about 15 years ago. I recently found a Hot Rod and some Packet tricks in a box of junk and that started me off with the Cards. It is just a hobby at the moment but I am getting great enjoyment out confounding my family and friends with what I have learnt so far.
Thanks again
Cheers
Col
