Hello Friends,
I launched my first product last week. It's available at most magic shops. Also in my website www.sonnyboommagiclab.com Hope you like it. Description: Do you ever wonder what to do with the Joker? Why not make him CRASH! The magician shows the Joker card behind the cellophane of the card case. He claims that he doesn't like to mix the Joker with the rest of cards. In fact, he really doesn't like the Joker. At a moment's notice, the magician takes the Joker from behind the cellophane, gives it a strike, and BAAM! A small bicycle falls from the card, and when he reveals the card, the bicycle has vanished, and Joker has fallen onto the ground! This effect is a great opener for any close-up performance. A fantastic ice-breaker! Generates laughter and amazed reactions! Points to remember: - Easy to perform -- it takes only a little practice. - Assembly takes a few minutes but after that, the effect can be repeated as much as the performer wants. - Set-up between performances is instant, so ideal for strolling, table-hopping or restaurant magic. - The deck of cards has no connection with this trick, so you can have your normal deck of cards inside the card case and perform your usual card tricks. - Can be done at the beginning, middle or at the end of a performance. All is self-contained on the card case. - Additional presentation ideas are given in the online instructions. Included in the package: - Special printed card - Special miniature bicycle - Gimmicks - Link to online instructions Thanks for your attention and your support. |

Just curious what the little bicycle is made out of?
It almost looks like wood in the video. |

Does look like wood. For me, $32.50 for this is to expensive. Especially if the bike is made of wood, one mishap and I can see the Joker not being able to ride his bike anymore!

Hi,
Sorry for my late reply @videoman Yes, it's wood. I tried different materials but I like more the wooden one. The bike falls better and bounces on the surface. Also I prefer the look of it. In terms of colors, I prefer leaving the natural wood color, but if you want, it can be painted in black (or other color). @RNK You must handle the bike quite roughly for you to break it. It never happened to me. But nice to point this out. Thanks for your questions and comments. |

Here is my review for it. I'd also spray it with a protective coat AFTER you paint it black

This one I liked but had some reservations about. In order to get the 'visual' effect the card seems somewhat artificially constrained. I love the concept - but wonder if it would be just as strong (or possibly even stronger) if it was just done in the hands with a simple top ch***e or something similar. The fun is in the reveal and the construction of the gimmick seems like a lot of effort for not much more in way of effect. Just my thoughts. Crash Joker 2.0 – Sonny Boom
Product description: This is my first item from Sonny Boom, I have not heard about any other products. Crash Joker 2.0 is a routine which will play on the fact that the Joker is on a bicycle, and if you remove his bikes, he falls down. By saying that, you product a real wooden bicycle and the card has changed, the Joker is now on the floor. The idea is nice, but is the gimmick as good as it seems ? Let’s find out. Price and where to buy it: This is sold at $29.95 and you can find it in nearly every Murphy's magic partner ! What you get: You get a really nice and thin cardboard box, with inside all the props you need. You just have to add a regular deck of cards and “construct” the gimmick with what’s provided. The explanation video is well shot with multiple production ideas for the bike. The gimmick is clever in its working but for me, it’s too clever. I think Sonny wanted to fool magician and therefore, he complicated the gimmick and made it hard to use in a regular situation. That’s my whole point with this trick, it’s clever but too gimmicked for a real world use of it. The wooden bicycle is cool and is also gaffed but I wouldn’t use his idea for the hold out, just palm it in your pocket. Overall, it’s not that expensive and it’s ingenious but I don’t see many people that will actually use it. Teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Oz3PA2dOsM The pros and the cons: Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end. THE CONS: As I said, he wanted to add the pull out thing with the joker in the cellophane which is completely pointless for lay people and complicates a lot the gimmick. Your deck of card is completely gimmicked, you can turn it, you can’t show it, it’s awful. The hold out idea is good but I don’t think it’s the best since it adds gimmickery to the whole thing. THE PROS: I like the fact he played with the design of the joker to come up with a fun trick. I think this can please children and adults alike, it’s fun, the production of the bike is unexpected ! The printed “fallen” joker is really good and I can see myself using the card and the bike but not the complicated setup on the card case. Just do a double lift, a top change or anything else, it will still have the same impact and you’ll be more free in your routine. The gimmick, while not very usable at a gig, is clever and there actually maybe something else to do with it. Overall rating: I think this effect is great, the method not so good, I maybe keep the bike and the custom printed joker and make my own routine, 2/4 hearts. As for the difficulty level, the method provided is easy to do but quite hard to setup, 2/5 stars. Similar products: I don’t know any other product which can achieve the same thing. Hello Friends,
Here Sonny Boom. I just wanted to drop a message about the reviews that have been coming up. First, I want to thank all the reviewers. Every constructive opinion is great for buyers and it also helps in the creation of new effects. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. A small thing I just want to add, because I see that some reviewers say that using CRASH JOKER with the deck is perhaps better than using the card behind the cellophane. I agree with you in a certain point, and the first version of the CRASH JOKER was with the deck of cards. But with this version I wanted to eliminate 2 minor problems, that are important only if you work in strolling situation. I always try to think with my tricks the situation before and after the effect. And using the deck, at the end, you will still have a Joker in the deck, that suposedly is the one that crashed. I wanted that the magician could be free to move on with his normal cardtricks without being worried on having the extra Joker. Using the box, everything stays on the box, and the deck of cards is free of anything. The handling of the small bicycle was also a struggle. Working with the cards having something hidden in your hands makes the moves awkwards. So, as before, I placed everything on the cardcase, and you take the bike when you need to produce it. The important thing here is that, if you are a strolling magician, and you feel like not doing the CRASH JOKER, just take the deck out, put the card case inside your pocket and move on. The magician and the deck of cards are not limited because of this effect. Just a small thing I wanted to say that was on my heart. Thanks again to all the reviewers. |
