I’m trying to remember the name and creator of an effect I saw a while ago. Goes something like this: Ace - Ten taken out I think. Spectator chooses one and magician figures it out. Then magician says it’s spectators turn to find the card. Then have 2 sets of Ace through ten I think. Magician starts dealing face DOWN a card and spectator needs to find the joker I think (or other card). If he doesn’t think the magician put the joker down then he puts down an different card face UP. When he thinks the joke was put down. He places his joker on top. The magician then shows that he got it right. Not only that. He then shows that the only cards left in the magicians hand are the same as the spectators and those on the table are the same.
I believe this was sold as a download but don’t remember the name. Thanks. It’s ungimmicked with some slight of hand. |

Could it be this download from Penguin? I'm on their email list and remembered looking at the demo video when they sent out the promo message--probably in the last month or so.

No, not that one but thanks for your email. It was helpful. I did find it. I've been trying to remember for the last 2 days. It's Anagnorasis. Penguin link: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/10226

After I posted it, I realized there were no jokers used, but the matching of the two red suit runs sounded familiar. Oh, well.

No worries. Thanks for replying. I’ve done a version of this in the past with friends and family and wanted to play around with the idea but forgot how it went. I don’t own the specific effect. I didn’t like how part of the video is staged. In first performance you can see in one clip that the 10 hearts is in one pile and in next clip it’s in the other pile.
