What's the purpose of it? As a sizzle real nice, but as a demo not so much. Curious as to its intent?

The thing with the car at the start makes you look really arrogant. Maybe you stole that idea from Greg Wilson’s video, but his has a thing at the end where he takes it back to the rental place and it’s very funny. Yours is just oh look at me I have an ostentatious car.

Why do people post and then follow up on their own thread? Especially if he is sincerely interested in thoughts and assistance from others?

While I have a lot of footage I can show potential clients with close up stuff, I just don't have much to show them about a stage act. This is my first attempt at that. You're right that it came out more of a sizzle reel than a demo reel. Quote:

I guess I went to trouble of getting the licencse plate that shows what I do, I thought it would be a good idea to show it in the video. The goal is certainly not to look arrogant - and thank you for shedding light from a perspective I didn't give much thought to. I do know that when I hire a professional for any services - I want the best I am able to get. The best people are (usually) successful in their respective industries, and for better or for worse, as a society, we expect them to carry themselves in a certain way. While your comment only focused on the first 13 seconds of the 2:21 video, I hope you enjoyed the rest of it. Quote:

Promo or whatever the case, all the shots are too jumpy jittery! Some shots where not clear at all.
It's Entertaining!

I really liked it. But, it depends on the use for it. It looks a lot like an intro video when you would perform. The music gets people ready.

This video post right above this one is a model. I would hire this guy. It gives me a good indication of his skill and personality and how he treats people.

Thank you all for the feedback.
In fact, since posting this thread - I've gone back to square 1 - and have hired a professional video production company for me to re-do this. This was my attempt at creating a good video to promote my show. Problem is, I am not a professional video guy, and a good video is not a great video. Maybe I'll use this as an intro/sizzle reel to open my show with where appropriate... we'll see. In the meantime, it'll be a bit of a waiting game to start this project all over again and end up with something new, different and professional. |

First durgy, let me say that it takes great courage to put yourself on display and then come into the Café looking for constructive criticism. Often you will find that there are those who don't understand the first word CONSTRUCTIVE and they get off, on putting others down. So again I applaud you, for your courage.
After watching the video, it was very clear, that all were having a great time and your show was a complete success, in terms of it's entertainment value. I liked the "MACARENA" and audience involvement. Imo, anybody watching it would understand, that they are going to have a good time, if they hire you and the money they spend would be WELL spent. The beginning is like a story that prepares the reader for what's about to happen, without giving it all away. Another thing I liked. Keep on, your doing well and indeed the promo, SELLS!
No matter how many times you say the wrong thing, it will NEVER be right.
If I'm not responding to you? It's because you're a TROLL! |

I think you got exactly what my original intentions for this video was- which was to show that if you hire this entertainer (me) - you and your guests are going to have a good time. It will be high energy, interactive and most importantly entertaining. Of course there's a few clips of television appearances and what not to build trust and show experience. Thank you again. |
