Hello All!

Got invited to play in a gigging band a few years ago... grew to love performing... and recently felt the pull towards exploring magic.
I'm VERY interested in bizarre and storytelling magic.. Been lurking at the Café for awhile and decided to swim rather than dip my toe in the water.
Looking forward to learning and contributing.

Welcome Penduluminary!

Your tastes are the same as mine. I have totally been sucked into bizarre magic. Make sure you visit "The Cellar," specifically "The spooky, the mysterious...the bizarre!" A lot of wonderful practitioners and collectors there who are more than willing to share their knowledge.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Welcome Penduluminary,

Come on in, the water's fine.

What tipped you towards the bizarre.

I take it you do pendulum work?

Hello Wizard of Oz and Mary Mowder. Thank you for the warm welcome.
Full-on horror isn't my thing. The bizarre, the strange, and great storytelling... now we're talking. It calls to me.
Wizard of Oz... Any starting tips for bizarre?
Mary Mowder... Dowsing intrigues me. As for pendulums... What a wonderful way to introduce magical moments! Have you used pendulums in your magic?

I have a beautiful pendulum but I've never used it and l couldn't tell you where it is.

Do you use it o "pick a card" or...?

I'm in the early stages of putting magic ideas and routines together.

I just bought a bizarre stortelling magic routine -- Stomping Grounds -- by Tim Sonefelt.

Reading through the script a few times, I realized I can add in the pendulum to accentuate the drama (choices) towards the end.

I'll try it with and without the pendulum to see audience reactions.

I have no idea if it will work. However there's no reason it shouldn't... and I've begun thinking magically for myself. A huge step forward.

I like the idea of working pendulums in to things in different ways.

Welcome aboard Penduluminary. You’ll definitely find The Cellar interesting. They keep us down there because it makes them feel safer! Smile
