I couldn't be happier!
Instead of simply washing my clown wigs, last night I decided to try shampoo and conditioner - it's worked wonderfully!! They've come up brilliantly, and smell great! I can't think of anywhere else I could post that, and not be locked up! On that note - does anyone have any tips for cleaning a costume that began life as a very loud, dry-clean only suit? It's now covered in more sequins than Liberace's pyjamas, and I wouldn't really trust it to a high street cleaners. Yours, with that deep clown shine! Wobblebottom

Great Idea. Sorry, no real suggestions on cleaning a suit come to mind. Mine are all cotton and washable.

I picked up my first wig at a Clowns International convention in Bognor Regis years ago. Then, just as the wig was starting to wear out, I was driving through Watford, and spotted an identical wig in the window of a party supplies shop!
I've spent the last six months looking for a third with no luck - I contacted wig suppliers, and trodden the Golden Mile in Blackpool, where there are dozens of wig places, just in case. So, I've given in, and ordered a new wig from the US - it's similar to my current wigs, just different colours. I got it from http://www.bubbasclownsupplies.com (it's the Dlx Rainbow Spike, if you want a peek!) Hope that helps! Wobblebottom

Hi,
My costumes are also a Poly cotton washable. I have always struggled with getting the auguste make up off of my neck and bib. BUT a couple of weeks ago I added Oxy clean to my tide and washed as usual and...WaLa even the old stains came out.
