Does anyone have a view on which is better (or, for that matter, if either is worth having): "Magic and Methods of Ross Bertram" or "Bertram on Sleight of Hand"? My familiarity with Bertram is just what's in "Stars of Magic" and David Ben's praise in "Tricks". I'm more interested, at this point, in non-card work.

I'm sure others may chime in, but these two volumes contain some of the finest sleight-of-hand in print. You can learn more of their contents at:

Thanks. As a budget matter, I'll end up getting only one of these at this time and so I'm also curious as to whether one of the two books stands out over the other.

Being you are on a budget make you right in line for the Magic and Methods. Most of the coin magic uses smaller coins, pennies, nickles, dimes.
I only have this one book. I have had it for years and when I purchased the Martin Lewis Egg Bag video, I saw what I missed. The most magicial egg production using the Mardo Egg Bag around. So this shows that just because it reads okay does not mean it is not a killer effect. |
