"CardMaker's 3 Card Monte"
... so called, 'cos I think I'm the inventor ;-) You show the cards: 2 Jokers and 1 Queen of Hearts. You show them clearly from both sides, one by one ... 3 cards used. It's the old monte, shuffling , placing face down and the spec has to catch the queen ...OLD! In my version, the queen has got a hole punched into it; the hole can be seen from both sides! OK, shuffle it bit and fan them: "where's the queen?" Ya, the spec can't name it and you decide to spread the cards on the table. "Aha ... There's the card with hole!" So you push a cigarette thru the back of this chosen card - it must be the queen!? Turn the remaining cards face up and voilà , there's 1 joker and the queen of hearts; of course she's unharmed! But what's about the card with the cigarette sticking in it? YOU turn it face up and it is the missing joker. 3 Cards! Of course ;-) these are not examinable! Available in BICYCLE Pokersize, red and blue. How does that sound?

Doesn't sound bad for a quickie.
Bob Farmer once released a three card monte effect where one card had a hole in and a different coloured back. Let me just check in my new book for the title.... ....Ah yes,it was called "Nothing to Lose". Paul. |
