I've been practicing the snap change for a while, but I can't seem to perfect it. I just can't get the transition into the tenkai palm, and if I do, my angles are messed up. Can you gimmie a few suggestions of how to conceal a tenkai palm, Thanks is advance

The standard snap change does not go into a Tenkai . . . the original was the Horace Goldin change, I believe.
In Marlo's "Snap Change," the card(s) were immediately squared. So, I'm not clear on what change you are working on-- or, why you need to end up in a Tenkai. |

Strange, all the videos I have seen about Ed Marlo's Snap change instruct that I go from the snap to a tenkai palm, guess there are other methods to do it.

Going into Tenkai is a bit overkill in my opinion. Just use the natural misdirection you get after the change to square the cards together, you can then caually display them as one and get on with whatever you're supposed to be doing.

But the thing is after I Do the change, I want a little pause if you know what I mean, So I go to a tenkai for a couple of seconds then I square up. But one thing I have problems with is angles, I NEVER GET THEM RIGHT. I can practice for hours, but when I show the trick I can't seem to find the right angle

There are to my understanding 2 types of snap changes..though i do not know the originator of either one, and perform the poorly, I will describe the different effects..
1. a card is held by the edge of the corners between middle finger and thumb on opposing corners... the other hand containg the rest of the deck is in the left hand.. with the ring finger and thumb of the left hand you grab the opposite corners of the card... you give it a quick pull and it snaps back to become a different card.. 2. the card is held in the right hand with the first and middle finger in the front and the thumb behind.. the card is held in this manner while holding it up in front of you displaying it..face of the card towards the audience. You do the same motion you would if you were snapping the fingers and the card instantly changes.... this is where the tenkai palm is incorperated if I am not mistaken. ... I believe this is the one you are referencing.. tips without giving away the secret are tough, but I can say hold the card where your fingers are near the bottom of the card when held up horizontally for display.. and use a fairly light grip on the card.. it wont work if you are squeezing it tightly. also hold the deck with the left hand fairly close to the card to be changed so you can get rid of the dirty work without too much movement.... Good luck and PM me if this makes absolutely no sense to you C-Ya Tom
