Hey Jon,
I have always wanted to thank you for putting out "Spectators Don't Exist". I think it was a great video filled with a lot of good stuff. The part of this video I got the most out of was your card move when their signed card appears in your mouth. Now I bought this video about a year ago and thought that was a clever move but I never applied it to my own routine. One night at a party with all my friends and at the spur of the moment I decided to try it out. MAN IT KILLED. I have been able to get it to my mouth with 15 people burning my hands and no one sees it. The misdirection is perfect. Just gotta say keep up the great work Steve |

Hi Steve,
Glad you liked the video. I really wanted to put out a video with real world routines. Too many videos have tricks in that a great for magic videos but there is no sense of how they would work in a real environment. How do you get into the trick? How do you get out of it? How do you carry the props? Where is the space on the table? I wanted to show the stuf that I do for people when I am paid to entertain. The move you mention is not mine. I musy admit that I don't know who first had the card appear in their mouth at the end of the AC routine. My routine has evolved a little since shooting the video but I still end up having the card appear in my mouth. It is a lesson in misdirection. You wouldn't think you could get away with puting the card in your mouth while surrounded. For me, it's important that people *want* to look where you are making them look. If people feel you are trying ot get them to look away from your other hand, they won't fall for the misdirection. Get caught a couple of times and you soon learn the timing of the piece. Glad the video offered you some good stuff!

I was inspired by seeing a lecture of Cellini. Used it for a while and then it slipped out of my performance. Untill I saw your video, it went back in again and with much succes!
