Sadly I will repeat myself for clarity; you are assuming that they took legal action for their publicity shots. Could be true. As far as you getting a PR degree, whatever the heck that means (majoring in marketing perhaps?), does not give you any more insight in Criss's motives/actions as it does for me. But from an objective perspective, I find his Houdini pictures very tasteless and disrespectful, plus it doesn't do Houdini justice. I am not attacking Criss's looks for I have very nice "gothic" friends. I used to love the movie crow because of his dark entranced image (those were good times..btw RIP Brandon Lee..i sure as heck wouldn't want someone sitting on his tomb either) But I am attacking Criss's character for I should be a voice for Houdini, who obviously has no say in this. I don't care how much a fan you are of Criss, you can't justify everything he does as good unless you worship him as a god. I agree, he's a great performer. He probably will someday match or exceed Blaine in popularity. But the way he's attempting to do so is just plain ridiculous. Quote:
I watched a magic show on Sky One last week where the presenter said "Magic cannot be defined by the size of the audience it draws, but by the amount of wonder it creates"... I think that's very fitting. If that's very fitting, why do you support such crass publicity? You contradict yourself by supporting such a quote in terms of defending his image to gather an audience. Is he doing it to gather an audience or to create wonder? Please don't give me a knee-jerk response. I'm not inciting an argument with you, I just hope you think with an open mind even if you are one of his fans. Lance

Don't expect to come to a MAGIC message board and spurt out crap and people not to disagree with it. Maybe if you actually defended it reasonably, people might take you seriously? There are other ways to get publicity without showing disrespect to a legend. Why doesn't he ask Blaine, he seems to be doing fine/better.

Illusia, my feeling is that if anybody were disrespectful enough to sit on my stone and marker after my passing, if it were in my power I would make sure they would never consider it again. I suppose that Criss Angel mouthpieces like yourself can't or refuse to show respect to the dead, no matter who they are. I was taught to honor the dead respectfully, as were many on this board. It stands to reason over your vehement defense of this PR stunt, that your parents obviously never taught you anything about respect, for either the living or dead. And yes, all my words are spelled correctly.

Criss Angel being a humble 'freak' who is rejected by people because of the way he looks. Poor Criss, he is just trying to pay homage to his idol. We are all such ignorant bullies who are judging him because of the way he looks. Look at that picture again. It is what he is doing that is the problem. Pictures speak a thousand words. They convey a message. Any one with eyes and common sense can easily see Criss' message. You might not be a magician, but I am. I am a working mentalist/magician and this picture isn't about Criss paying homeage it's about him not having the common sense to think about what it is he is doing and what it might mean. The only thing on his mind at that time is: "I look so F-ing hot right now.. are my abs flexed enough?.. do I look cool when I sit like this?.. get my left profile... I look cool on top of Houdini's grave" (I'm a mentalist I think I oughtta know ) I find it very silly that you are trying to make him into a victim. He is using Houdini's grave to tastelessly promote his own ego. I find that completely disrespectful. I do not judge people because they look different, but I do have common sense. If you cannot see the shameless promotion on a dead icons grave then I feel sorry for you. Maybe you are very gullable. I read another one of your posts saying: Quote:
