I just started messing around with the jumbo deck again. Jumbo card forces have been discussed quite a bit on here, but I'd like to know if anyone has discovered any other particular sleights that translate well to the larger cards.
The jog shuffle control and an in-the-hands riffle shuffle both work fine with the deck rotated 90 degrees. Other possibilities are the hit DL and Erdnase's "Fancy Blind Cut 1" (what is this commonly known as?) Back-to-Back Snap Turnover Change--sorry, don't know who has laid claim to that one. Any others? |

Long distance spinner actually works pretty well with jumbo cards aswell as a riffle shuffle if you do it sideways if you know what I mean.

I have a jumbo deck that I can biddle grip and do stuff that way, but I never use it. How about top changes to compliment the dl.
jumbo card warp. I once did torn with a jumbo deck. |

The Elmsley count. I reccomend that you read this article on why Dai Vernon used the finger tip Elmsley count for his Twisting the Aces. It is on the bottom.

What do you mean it came from the bottom of the deck?

I'd read that interesting info about the fingertip Elmsley count.
I've found that the count does work well with jumbos counted into a kind of dealers grip. The left hand grips the front left corner with three fingers resting underneath. The right hand moves about a third of the way up the side of the packet for the push-offs. And I don't know if anyone's tried this, but the Asher Twist works with big cards too. There's more movement, but also more cover. My jumbo cards aren't Bicycle. How are the "real thing" for doing faros? |

I can classic palm a jumbo card.
I have freakishly large hands.

Checkout "A False Shuffle for Giant Cards" on page 57 of "Wonderful Routines of Magic" by Ellison Poland. I've been using this for some time, it's a more natural way to shuffle oversized cards and very deceptive.
