This latest offering by a fellow who is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors lives up to its name quite well, except in one aspect. I think it's more than just a lecture. It certainly is not just a set of lecture notes. There are 53 letter-sized pages, so it's a bit large for a set of notes.
Basically, Brad gives his ideas of how to turn a lousy trick into a well-crafted piece of entertainment. He does this with several well-worn pieces. By the time he gets through with them, you begin to have a better understanding of why certain things are magical and others are not, as well as how to produce certain very desirable effects upon your audience. Be careful, though, reading and studying this book might actually make you a better performer. If you think you already know it all, don't get the book, because you really won't understand it.

Where do you find the bills to complete your bill to anything effect? also about the notes.......His magic theory is sound. He makes a trick that everyone knows and magicians moan at the sight of when a young newbie performs it, he takes it and raises it to entertainment. he questions every step in a typical design duplication. He gives reasons for everything he does in a effect to make the effect better. I wish he wrote more. JudgeBean |

Brad is the type of performer that continues thinking at a place where many have already stopped. He puts a lot of thought into his presentations and it shows.
Well, here goes another book on my list of things to get. Greg

You have no idea how much your kind words mean to me. Thank you!
As to getting the bills, I find that you can snag them almost anywhere, but you do need to hoarde them when they come up. ATMs will give you 20's quite often. But the key is to go to a bank, tell them you are giving cash to someone as a present, and that you want new bills. It is easy to get larger denominations in sequential order this way, however during Christmas season the smaller bills are also available. When I was performing this often, I had a string of banks who knew me so I could just call and tell them to be on the lookout. When a stack of new fives would come in, they would set them aside for me. Hope that helps. Brad |
