No , it is not just you. of course they are easier- the deck is smaller. However, in your initial readings at the beginning of your interest in the art, you plrobably like the rest of us would have read that , although it is easier to perform with bridge sized cards, the budding magi should learn first to perform with poker sized cards. Thus facilitating the transfer to a smaller deck in those situations where larger sized cards are unavailable. magic 101.

I have to agee with LordPH. I was always taught to use Poker size cards. If you can do anything with a poker size deck, if given a bridge size it will be an easy transition. If you learn with and use a bridge size deck and then are given a poker size one, it is not as easy to do the same sleights. Obviously, there are exceptions.
